This guide will talk about almost everything you need to know about mining and smithing.
Xp rates per ore , xp rates per smelt , xp rates per smithing a bar , total xp for smelting and smithing a bar

And the best place to be standing to smelt your bars and also how to put your screen.
How to get there and what to do first.
First you will have to head to your mage book and select skill teleport.
It will teleport you not far from a bank booth , from there you run north till you get to bob.

When you get to bob , talk to him and buy a hammer.
A hammer is only 1 gp.
And also buy the 2 pick axe's , iron for 140 gp , and rune for 32K.
Where to mine and what to mine.
For the first inv of bronze , bank your hammer.
From bob , run east till you reach this line of rocks.

Start by mining yourself a couple of tin and copper ore , I would suggest starting out by mining 14 of each , since you're already there anyways. The copper is the beige one , and the tin is the grey.
*Every tin and copper you mine you get 3240 xp* 1620 each.
After you have mined 14 of each , run back next to bob and smelt them into bronze bars , once you got your 14 bronze bars , use one of them on the anvil and make the item you can that requires the most bars , to know which items you can make they're name will be in white. (And Select make 10 , I believe it only makes 5 to)
*Every bronze bar you smelt , you will be gaining 4000 xp*
*Every bronze bar smithed , (When you use them on anvil) you will be gaining 1040 xp , so if you make something that takes 2 bars , it'll be 2080 xp*
Run back to the rocks (With hammer in inventory and pickaxe equiped) , and mine yourself iron ore until you get 27 of them , ( A full inv since you got hammer in inventory)
Every iron ore , you will be gaining 3150 mining xp.
After you have your full inventory , run back to the furnance , and smelt yourself iron bars.
Every iron bar you smelt , you will be gaining 4800 smithing exp.
Then use your bar on the anvil , and once again make the best thing you can make.
Every iron bar smithed will be gaining you 2000 smithing exp.
(If you aren't 55 mining and 50 smithing yet , keep doing iron till 55 mining and 50 smithing)
Then at 55 mining , start mining mithril ore.
Every mithril ore you mine , you will gain 7200 mining exp.
Get yourself 27 mithril ore once again , and go to the furnance and make 27 mithril bars.
Every mithril bar you make , you will be gaining 8000 smithing exp.
Then make the best item you can , on the anvil.
Every mithril bar smithed , you will gain 4000 smithing exp.
(You will have to keep doing mithril , until you reach 70 mining and 70 smithing)
Now you will have to run back to the rocks again...
Mine 27 addy ore...
Every addy ore , you will be gaining 8550 exp in mining.
After you have 27 , run back to the furnance and make yourself 27 addy bars.
Every addy bar smelted , you will be gaining 8800 exp.
Then go to the anvil , and make the best item you can.
Every addy bar smithed , you will gain 5040 exp.
(Keep doing addy , until you achieve 85 mining and 85 smithing)
From this point , I would suggest opening a small youtube page , and watching videos while mining , since at the start rune ore takes a while to mine.
Mine yourself 27 rune ore...
Every rune ore you mine , you will gain 11250 mining exp!
Then go to the furnance and make yourself a rune bar , granting you 16K smithing exp!!!!!
Then to the anvil , make the best thing you can , I think it'll be rune daggers

Every rune bar smithed , you will gain 6000 smithing exp.
And do this to 99

Money tips via mining.
Mining won't start making you much money until 85 , but at 85 you will make great money.
If you want money when you hit 85 mining , stop training smithing and sell your rune ore to general shop , you will gain 320K gp per rune ore.
Gaining you 8960k per 28 rune ores!!
Need 99 smithing? But still want profit.
The profit won't be as good as mining rune ore and selling it , but you could always sell the rune items to the general store.
How to get magic , mining and smithing exp ~ And some coins.
After mining your ore's , you can turn them into bars and then smith them into armor ( Preferably plates if you want more cash doing this )
After you have reached 99 smithing and mining , or what ever your goal was.
Get some nature runes , from the magic store and a staff of fire.
Place your nature runes in the first slot of your inventory , and the noted armor you're going to alch in the second slot , and alch your armor , you will gain cash and magic exp

How to place your screen and where to stand for easier smelting.
Smelting can be pretty annoying , since you have to click the furnance , click the bar and repeat every time , so I found a way to make this quicker and easier.
As it will make the bars that you need to make , closer to the furnance , and will have to move your mouse less , with this method you can make up to 4 bars before the exp counter's exp gain goes away.
